Projects at Elektronmusikstudion 2024

The Artist-in-Residence program welcomes applications by professional composers and sound artists in the field of electroacoustic music and sound art,
based outside Sweden.

EMS is one of the world’s oldest and most prominent centres for electronic music and sound art. Every year we select on average 50 artists for a residency
of max 3 weeks. Groups and Duos are also welcome to apply by submitting individual applications.

EMS does not provide financial support or accommodation, but use of the studio is free.

We offer seven studios, each with its specific setup, and also an extensive on-site library with a unique collection of CDs, DVDs, and books on electroacoustic
music and sound art. EMS offers access to support by technical staff, but residents are expected to be able to work independently in the studios.
The studios are located in Münchenbryggeriet, an old brewery turned exhibition and conference center.

Deadline for applications is 31 October 2024 [23:59 hours CET]. Submission of applications are only accepted online (scroll down).
EMS will confirm receipt of submitted applications.

Notifications to applicants will be sent before the end of December 2024, after the selection panel has made its final decision .
