Tommi Keränen has been an active practitioner of experimental electronic music since the late 1990’s. He is playing live electronics and computer with custom software. Over the years he has performed and recorded as a solo artist, as a member in a number of bands (Testicle Hazard, Gentle Evil, Köttskogen), and participated in various ad hoc situations. His discography consists of two dozen plus releases ranging from underground tapes to critically acclaimed releases such as "Bats in the Attic" CD that was among critic’s choices in The Wire in 2010. He has performed widely around the world, and collaborated with artists such as Incapacitants, Lasse Marhaug, Phill Niblock, Florian Hecker, and others.
An AIR-programme grant from Nordic Culture Point has made it possible for EMS to invite Tommi to work at EMS in 2014.
