Kris Limbach is a multidisciplinary sound artist and film maker. Limbach is writing scores for Film, releasing projects on labels such as dents de scie, contour editions, Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther Koenig, Staaltape or silent records and is working
beyond genre between the conceptual and the improvised.
His live performances take different shapes from noise, improv, expanded cinema to immersive multichannel diffusion.
The film scores “Dead & Juicy” and “Hells’ Bells” were recently part of the exhibition Broken Music Vol.2 at Hamburger Bahnhof.
Limbach runs the T.A.T.V. expanded Television Festival and
co-curates together with Seiji Morimoto and Pierce Warnecke emitter micro, a “reduced label for sound”.
In this residency Limbach will work on their collaborative experimental Vinyl Cut Project called Solo Album.
