Mónica Muñoz (b. Barcelona 1974), a.k.a Nikka, is a sound artist and composer of experimental music who walks through soundscapes and abstract compositions. Nikka has been creating music since 2005. Darkness, noise and silence have always been important elements in her creations.

Nikka is an established artist within the electronic music scene in Europe and has participated in Festivals such as Femelek (ES), Sonar (ES), Alpha-Ville (UK), LEM (ES), Fylkingen (SE), Kägelbanan (SE), Facyl Festival (ES), REC (ES), Swedish Energies New York (US), Norberg Festival (SE), LunchMeat (CZ), Future Everything (UK), Insomnia Festival (NO), Eufònic Festival (ES), She Makes Noise (ES) and Halo Festival (SE), among others.
Since 2009 Nikka has held different artistic residences, both international and national, to work on sound. During her previous residency at EMS she worked with synthesizers such as BUCHLA, Nord Modular G2, Voyager MOOG and Virus, among others. The pieces created at EMS were mastered during her residency as a guest composer at Alpha Studio in VICC (Gotland, Sweden) and released on her latest vinly The Baltic Sea From My Window.
In 2016 she held an artistic residency at the Lo Pati Centre d'Art (ES), generating a sound piece based on the resources of the Ebro Delta, which was shown at Centre d'Art Santa Mònica (CASM) during the Eufònic festival.
