Kris Limbach (born in 1978) is a sound artist and film maker.
Thinking audiovisual art coming from experimental sound, he is also heavily involved in film projects. In his sound work he is writing scores for Film, releasing projects on different labels
(such as contour editions, Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther Koenig, Staaltape) and working beyond genre between the conceptual and the improvised.
He holds a master ´s degree in Physics which influenced his
early conceptual sound work. In his live performance 10800Pixel Kris merges realtime manipulated analog visuals with tapes and digital sound sources creating an archaic experience of
expanded cinema.
In his film works he wanders between his highly abstract live
film- and video manipulation and feature-like experimental cinema. He curates the Expanded Television streaming Festival T.A.T.V. and co – curates together with Pierce Warnecke and
Seiji Morimoto the emitter micro label and emitter micro festival,
a biennial experimental sound Festival in Berlin.
