Mike Bullock is a composer and intermedia artist based in Brooklyn, NY. He works with modular synthesis, installation, contrabass improvisation, and drawing.
Recent activities including guest curation and installations at Vox Populi Gallery in Philadelphia, and residencies at Wave Farm in Acra, NY and at EMS in Stockholm.
He has performed across the US and in Europe, at venues such as ISSUE Project Room in Brooklyn; the Philadelphia Museum of Art; and CaféOTO in London. Collaborations include Bertrand Gauguet, Gen Ken Montgomery, Andy Guhl, Mazen Kerbaj, Pauline Oliveros, Bhob Rainey, King Britt, HPrizm, Steve Roden, Keith Rowe, and Christian Wolff.
Mike is Assistant Professor of Music Production at Ramapo College of New Jersey, and teaches Sound in Art and Environment at The New School in New York City. In June 2015, Bullock received a Performance Grant from the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage.
