Doron Sadja is an American artist, composer, and curator whose work explores modes of perception and the experience of sound, light, and space. Using multichannel spatialized sound in conjunction with intense smoke and light projections, Sadja carves out a dense but delicate sound and installation worlds where silence, noise and pulses meet fractured beauty, harsh electronics, and ethereal light.
Sadja has published music on 12k and Shinkoyo records, and has performed/exhibited at PS1 MoMa, Miami MOCA, Norberg Festival, GAS Festival, Cleveland Museum of Art, and Issue Project Room amongst others. Sadja co-founded Shinkoyo Records and the West Nile performing arts space in Brooklyn (RIP), and has curated various new music/sound festivals around NYC, including the multichannel SOUNDCORRIDORS Festival, Easy Not Easy, John Cage Musicircus, and more.
At Elektronmusikstudion, Sadja will be composing a new work for Buchla that will be presented at Fylkingen on November 18th: http://konspirationen.org/
