We are please to see Zuriñe F Gerenabarrena back at EMS. Born in the Basque Country, Gerenabarrena is a versatile composer, has written pieces for orchestra, chamber ensembles, theater, dance, animation, sound installations and multidisciplinary projects. She has been invited to several international forums and also worked as a resident artist.
Gerenabarrena highlights the importance of the use of electronic media, capturing the soundscape or its use as tools to deepen the possibilities of transformation in instrumental and vocal work. She is Professor of Counterpoint and Harmony at MUSIKENE (Higher Conservatory of Music, Basque Country).
