Ian Hawgood is an ambient artist and mastering engineer who is well established for his solo and collaborative works, as well as his mastering across the ambient field. He is the curator of the Home Normal label, and also ran the Nomadic Kids Republic, Koen Music, and Tokyo Droning labels during his ten years in Japan.
Since moving back to the United Kingdom in 2019, he continues to work from his seaside studio with a focus on tape-based recording and mastering methods, utilising his local environment with hydrophone and geophone recording along the Sussex coastline.
