Léa Paintandre

Léa Paintandre is a French sound artist and composer based in Marseille, working across electroacoustic music, sound installation and live performance. Her work has been presented internationally at festivals and institutions such as RomaEuropa, LUFF, FUTURA and CWB, and has received distinctions including the Raster Prize and the Phonurgia Nova Awards.

She holds a Master of Fine Arts completed in 2023 and trained in electroacoustic composition at the Conservatory of Paris. Engaged with sound ecology and field recording practices, she explores the materiality of sound and its relationship to space and perception. Her work approaches listening as a perceptual practice, attentive to physical sensation, spatial awareness and shared experience.
