Ted Apel

Ted Apel is a sound artist and researcher exploring the creative potential of audio transducers in sculpture and installation. His work has been exhibited internationally and recognized with awards from the Prix Ars Electronica, the Bourges Electroacoustic Music Competition, the Idaho Triennial, and the FETA Prize in Sound Art. His recent research focuses on real-time sonification of natural phenomena, speculative sound synthesis algorithms, and site-specific electronic music performances. Apel is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Games, Interactive Media, and Mobile Technology (GIMM) program at Boise State University.
