ComposersLAB @ EMS

ComposersLAB is a new platform that aims to empower composers, in collaboration with musicians, technologists, researchers and creatives to explore new paradigms in music composition, through interdisciplinary creative collaboration.

The EMS Residency is the first joint residency where composers Fredrik Gran (Sweden/Canada), Tobias Fandel (Germany/USA), Savannah Agger Sweden/Germany), Remmy Canedo (Chile/Germany) and Itza Garcia (Mexico/USA) will collaborate.

During the residency, the composers will start exploring the interplay and boundaries between human intention and computational creativity and reactivity, delving into new aesthetic dimensions and investigating creative processes. The goal is to inspire transformative artistic practices and prepare for collaborative research and joint concerts.
