Nils Rougé

Nils Rougé is a French 25-year-old sound designer, composer, and musician. He holds a Master’s degree in sound design from the National School of Theatre Arts and Techniques (ENSATT) in Lyon.

Nils is involved in many projects: he creates soundtracks for theatre productions (Laurène Marx, Mathilde Aurier…), short films, and performs as a composer, singer and bass player in the post-punk band Eyes and Legs. He also runs an electronic/pop project under the alias Neste, among other collaborations. He wrote his Master’s thesis about inner soundscapes and composed the attached multichannel sound piece during a previous internship at EMS.

His work currently navigates between disillusioned pop, breakbeats, nocturnal ambient, post-punk basslines, digital noise, and dogs.
