Marieke van de Ven creates electro-acoustic compositions, sound walks, podcasts and audio stories. Within the stratification of music, text, interviews, and field recordings, Marieke explores the relationship between sound and storytelling. Inspired by the sounds surrounding us, she investigates the musicality and narratives formed by nature and urban sound environments. In her compositions, she combines realistic and imaginary sounds to create an immersive and poetic spatial listening experience.
