Jackson Kovalchik

JHK, is the NYC based solo experimental electronics project of Jackson H. Kovalchik who began using the moniker in 2018. JHK’s output incorporates detailed and textural moments of cassette manipulation, utilizing an organic and manufactured palette. Much of the work establishes composition with throughlines of synthesized undertones culminating in entropic pedal abuse. Influence for the project comes from his 14 years of experience as a professional sound engineer, taking the principles of proper sound technique and turning them back in on themselves. JHK has toured throughout the USA as well as internationally, and appeared at festivals such as; Ende Tymes, Summer Scum, The International Noise Conference, Mechanical Grinding Reactions, and Crude Transmissions.
