Anthony Lyons is an Australian composer, musician, and sound artist whose interdisciplinary practice spans moving image, performance, design, and installation. His work explores intersections between music, art, technology, and environment.

Anthony’s creative output includes works for ensembles, electronic and electroacoustic media, installation, and audiovisual forms. He works with field recordings, analogue and digital synthesis, and a range of electroacoustic instruments, including the Synthi 100 and Buchla Easel. His practice is concerned with sound in space and across media, seeking distinctive timbres, textures, and modes of sonification. He is particularly interested in the inner world of sound and exploring connections to memory, sonority and place.

Anthony’s work is performed and installed internationally. He is a frequent collaborator and alongside his creative practice he is a Senior Lecturer in Music (Interactive Composition) in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music at the University of Melbourne.
