Irene Gellein

Irene Gellein is a Norwegian artist working with visual art and sound. She completed her master’s degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna in 2020, and is currently based in Denmark. In recent years, she has performed live across Europe, Scandinavia, and the US, both with her solo project Vræl and in various collaborations. 

At EMS, Gellein will focus on developing sounds with Buchla and Serge synthesizers, alongside work on a collaborative project, with artist and composer Eva Sidén.
