Paul Ramage

Paul Ramage is a violinist, improviser and composer. After meeting Didier Lockwood, he turned his attention to jazz and improvised music, whilst continuing his classical training at the Conservatoire in Cergy-Pontoise, where he obtained a Diploma in violin and jazz . He then specialised in electroacoustic composition at the Paris Conservatoire, studying under Denis Dufour and Jonathan Prager, before obtaining a Master’s degree at the INA-GRM. He continued his studies at IRCAM, within the composition and computer music programme. The author of some fifty works (acousmatic, mixed and instrumental), he performs regularly in France and internationally. Holder of the Certificate of Aptitude (CA) in electroacoustic composition, he teaches composition and sound creation at the Conservatoire and the Pôle Supérieur de Paris, and is committed to promoting creativity in all its forms.
