Jenny Berger Myhre
At EMS 19-25 January 2026

Jenny Berger Myhre (1991) is a multidisciplinary artist working with sound, video and photography, living in Oslo, Norway. Originally a clarinet player, she composes with field recordings, modular synths, tape loops and fragments of songs. She is seeking to remove the expectations of virtuous musical gestures by focusing on the sounds in themselves creating a space where the audience and composer can listen freely together.
Jenny’s music moves between experimental ambient and the electro-acoustic tradition, with warm textures and collage-like structures. Since the release of her debut album “Lint” in 2017, she has been working closely with musician and novelist Jenny Hval, touring and creating visuals.
Jenny has made commissions for festivals like Insomnia (Tromsø/NO), Skanu Mezs (Riga/LV), Nuts and Bolts + Notam (Oslo/NO) and Borealis festival (Bergen/NO). She released her second cassette Here is always somewhere else in 2022, as well as a collaboration with Oh No Noh & F.S.Blumm in 2023. In 2025 her new collaborative album FLUTTER RIDDER with Espen Friberg was released on vinyl by Student of Decay (US). Jenny is also curating F/eks – a concert series for electronic music and experimental pop in Oslo.
