Logotypes
The Elektronmusikstudion EMS logotype is available in both horizontal and vertical formats. Each format comes in a dark version (for use on light backgrounds) and a light version (for use on dark backgrounds).

How to use the logotype
Clear space
The logotype must always have clear space around it. No other text, images or design elements may appear within this area. The clear space also sets the minimum distance from the edge of a printed page, advert or webpage.
The clear space is defined by an x-measure, which is based on the height of the EMS symbol. This x-measure should always be in proportion to the size of the logotype. It equals the height of the two-line descriptor in the logotype.
The same clear space applies on all sides of the logotype, for all versions and layouts.
Minimum size
To ensure the logotype remains clear at smaller sizes, we recommend the following minimum dimensions:
- Horizontal logotype: 10 mm high in print, 50 pixels high for digital use
- Vertical logotype: 18 mm high in print, 95 pixels high for digital use
