The presentation will illustrate the work developed during the artistic residencies carried out at Elektronmusikstudion EMS in Stockholm in 2025 and 2026, with particular focus on three-dimensional sound spatialization practices applied to performance and composition.

The first part of the talk will focus on the artistic research conducted during the 2025 residency, centered on the design and development of the immersive spatial audio performance Ife, later presented at CIRMMT in Montréal in December 2025. The technical and artistic workflow developed throughout the creative process will be presented, together with sound examples and performative demonstrations.

The second part of the presentation will explore the recording and experimental practices carried out using the historic analog synthesizers available in the EMS studios. Through listening examples, the talk will illustrate the methods employed for the organization, manipulation, and spatialization of sound materials within the immersive multichannel environment of Studio 2.

The final section of the presentation will address the ongoing developments of the 2026 residency, currently focused on the composition of a new immersive multichannel acousmatic work based on the timbral materials collected and developed during the previous research phase.
