France Jobin<\/a> is a sound \/ installation \/ artist, film composer, and curator residing in Montreal, whose audio art can be qualified as \u201csound-sculpture”, reveals a minimalist approach to complex sound environments where analog and digital intersect. Her installations incorporate both musical and visual elements inspired by the architecture of physical spaces. Her work can be \u201cexperienced\u201d internationally in a variety of unconventional spaces and new technology festivals. <\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

\n

Jobin has solo recordings on many renowned labels. Her sound art is also part of countless compilation albums. While her music often makes use of restraint and limit, she isn’t one to shy away from extremes. Her skillful interplay between highs and lows, louds and softs, creates an intricate narrative, which stretches the listener’s perception and continually refocuses attention. <\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

\n

In 2021, she presented the world premiere of Entanglement AV with Markus Heckmann at Mutek Edition 22. Influenced by theories in quantum physics since 2008, the pandemic has allowed her time to study and dive into this scientific universe. Entanglement is the first iteration of this large-scale project.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

\n

In 2020, she composed the soundtrack for Ouroboros – Maxime Le Flaguais\u2019s first short film. In November 2019, she presented her first modular concert (Buchla 100) at the Ernst Krenek Institute in Austria.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

\n

She has performed and exhibited at a number of different locations world wide. France Jobin\u2019s work continues to evolve as technologies enable her to create new environments.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

Yamil Rezc<\/a> is a Mexican composer and producer with a wide range of styles.
As Transgresorcorruptor, he has created EPs and LPs with the Static discos label since 2012, as well as numerous collaborations with artists from around the world.

\u201cUn d\u00eda en M\u00e9xico\u201d is Yamil Rezc’s debut album with Canadian artist France Jobin.
Recorded in Mexico City and released on the acclaimed LINE\/.

As a producer and musician, he has worked with a wide list of Latin American artists,
such as Los \u00c1ngeles Azules, Julieta Venegas, Zoe, Juan Son, Las Trompas de Fallopium, Amorphous Androgynous, Blonde Redhead, and Tit\u00e1n.

Yamil has worked on a wide range of films, including \u201cSpectre 007\u201d directed by Sam M\u00e9ndez and \u201cGet the Gringo\u201d by Adrian Grunberg; he is also a composer for television series for Netflix and Amazon.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
