EMS Guest composer Vicente Y\u00e1\u00f1ez is a Chilean artist based in Berlin. His body of work comprises music for contemporary dance, film and string orchestra to sound installations, 3D virtual animated environments and Ambisonics.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

“This project approaches Ambisonics as a generative space. I trained a Multi-Layer Perceptron neural network using a custom First Order Ambisonics dataset created specifically for this purpose. The resulting model was deployed in Max\/MSP, enabling a system that predicts intensity vectors from live FOA input.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n

I use the model\u2019s output to drive real-time interactions with synthesis and additional field recordings.
