SuperCollider and SuperClean can be installed on Mac, Linux or even on Windows and is, in theory, OS agnostic.<br>The teacher uses Mac OS but is familiar with Linux and Windows to a lesser extent.<br>Linux and Windows users should expect to do all of the operating system specific heavy lifting themselves.&nbsp;<br>The course is taught in Swedish and or English depending on the participants.<br><\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"w-constrained richtext\"><external-link-icon>\n<p><strong><strong>Course plan and implementation<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"w-constrained richtext\"><external-link-icon>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Get sat up to have SuperCollider automagically boot with sensible defaults.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sequence your own samples in a CPU efficient way without all the hassle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"w-constrained richtext\"><external-link-icon>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use the built in effect chain, FM and additive synths to find your personal sound.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrate best practices regarding safety into a workflow you know you can trust.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"w-constrained richtext\"><external-link-icon>\n<p>All of the above and more on day one. The course aims to get everyone over the initial threshold to a place where they are using SuperCollider with confidence and personal expressivity. After the selection process, an admission letter will be emailed to you. When offered a seat at the course, you need to confirm that you want to attend the course. A few days later you will recieve another email with the invoice. The fee must be paid in advance to participate in the course.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"w-constrained richtext\"><external-link-icon>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"w-constrained richtext\"><external-link-icon>\n<p>The course has a limited number of spots. Selection for the course is based on a overall assessment of the application in relation to other applicants. The selection is also made from a perspective of equality and diversity. An active interest in electroacoustic music and sound art is an asset. <br>The applicant must be at least 18 years old.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"w-constrained richtext\"><external-link-icon>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Payment<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"w-constrained richtext\"><external-link-icon>\n<p>The fee must be paid in advance to participate in the course.<br>The payment must be done by direct wire transfer to our bank in Sweden.<br>The payment must be made in Swedish currency SEK.<br>It\u2019s not possible to pay by PayPal or similar.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"w-constrained richtext\"><external-link-icon>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Canceled or rescheduled workshop<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"w-constrained richtext\"><external-link-icon>\n<p>Elektronmusikstudion reserves the right to cancel the workshop, change dates for lectures, teachers and fee. If this happens, you will be notified by email. Any paid workshop fees will be refunded if the workshop is canceled. No other compensation is paid.<\/p>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"w-constrained richtext\"><external-link-icon>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cancellation and illness<\/h4>\n<\/external-link-icon><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"w-constrained richtext\"><external-link-icon>\n<p>Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email as soon as possible after the admission notice has been sent out, but no later than <strong>August 31, 2025. In the case of cancellations on September 1, 2025, <\/strong>or closer to the course start, 100% of the course fee will be charged. Full reimbursement of the course fee is granted in the event of serious acute illness or injury to the participant or close relative that is of a nature that it is deemed impossible to participate.
