Born in Iceland, Magnússon relocated to Copenhagen, Denmark in the mid 90's. He has a degree in Electronic Music Composition from The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus. He now lives in Vienna and Copenhagen.

Inspired by the sounds of nature, horror movies, noise, and meditation, Magnusson specialises in atmospheric disturbances through minimalist compositions. While an oppressive hue is often cast upon Magnusson’s work, it is nevertheless always drafted with a sly trace of humor. Magnusson has worked in theatre in Denmark, he has presented his work at various locations, throughout the world including China, Hong Kong,
The Philippines, Mexico, Scandinavia, Canada and the USA.

Magnusson is co-founder of the Hljóðaklettar record label, member of the duo Vindva Mei and works with Danish based sound artist Yann Coppier (FR), focusing on installation work, both in virtual worlds and physical spaces, as Edition#.

After a few years of absence from releasing music Magnússon released 5 digital releases on his Bandcamp site in less than two years starting in 2021. There are 3 physical releases coming, a vinyl called Komplett Kollaps - a dedication to Jóhann Jóhannsson, a CD called Sub-Photic Scenario and a tape called Inside Out of Chaos. A trilogy made in 2018-2021, the releases are partly a description of a mental deroute and partly a dedication to his late friend, composer Jóhann Jóhannsson that passed away in 2018 and to his father that passed away a year later.

Magnússon performed a quadraphonic version of Komplett Kollaps - a dedication to Jóhann Jóhannsson at Organ Sound Art Festival 2022 in Copenhagen.
