A seminar about text-sound composition as a genre and its main representatives held by one of the pioneers of the genre, Sten Hanson, composer, poet and performance artist.
At the end of the 1950s, a new art form suddenly started to develop – text-sound composition. This form which lay between text and music made its appearance within a group of young poets and composers: Bengt Emil Johnson, Lars Gunnar Bodin, Ilmar Laaban, Åke Hodell and Sten Hanson. They hardly knew eachother and came from different backgrounds and only really came together thanks to their passion for creating a new art form between music and poetry. Why then? How was the reception? And what happened after that?
